FREE PRETZEL #15 |
May 15th- Day 15- Timing is everything sometimes. As I have already found out once this year, you need to have good timing and good communication to make something work out the way you want it. This can be tricky if what your doing is sometimes supposed to be a surprise. I wanted to give the FREE PRETZEL to these two deserving people earlier, but today did just fine.
As I made my way down Rt. 70...again, I was stopped at one of the lights and noticed one of my colleagues was next to me. I rolled down my window, got her attention and waved. I picked up the bag of soft pretzels and her eyes lit up. I quickly asked her if she had been following the blog. She hung her head in shame and said no. I pretended to be shocked and appalled. It didn't matter. She was getting a FREE PRETZEL today anyway, even if she is a New York Giants fan. Yuck!
Rich Beckman and Teresa Britton are the music teachers at Sharp School. Teresa is the classroom music teacher/chorus instructor. She is in her second year at Sharp and just had a baby boy in the beginning of the school year. Rich is the instrumental/band teacher at Sharp and also at Bret Harte school. Rich and I started in the district around the same time and he was at Stockton for a while as well. As fate would have it, we found each other again. HA!
Anyway, both of these wonderful music teachers not only had their students perform during the school day, but also in the evening concert at the end of April. I have to say that all facets of the music program at Sharp sounded really good. They both do one heck of a job and a FREE PRETZEL is in order for all their hard work.
Hungry faces ready to scarf down a soft pretzel |
It was an honor to share the stage with the two of them at the Sharp School talent show this year. It was a lot of fun. We performed "Low Rider."
I have to say that I really do play a mean cowbell! I think next year we "need more cowbell"
I hope I get invited back.
Shout Outs:
-Happy birthday to a FREE PRETZEL recipient from last year and family friend/babysitter Caitlyn McHugh. I sure hope she is enjoying her time down in UNC. The Irish are coming for you next year!
-A big "Thank You!" to my mom for watching an under-the-weather Tabitha today. She definitely had a good time with you and you tired her out!
-The Office series Finale airs tomorrow night. The end of an era for the documentary sitcom. First 30 Rock and now this? What's a TV junkie to do? Who else will be watching?
I still need an idea for tomorrow. Hmmmm?
Until Tomorrow...
