May 7th 2016, Day 7 Year 5
Saturday May 7th was bittersweet for me. Last Sunday, I was supposed to play in a Philadelphia Golf Association Match at Hidden Creek Country Club in Egg Harbor. This private course is supposed to be really nice and pretty exclusive. I once inquired about a round there two years ago and was told it would be $300 a person, not including mandatory fore caddy fee, which means paying a kid to go ahead and watch our golf balls when we tee off. F that.
So I was thrilled when one of the three matches for the year would be against Hidden Creek, giving me the chance to play there. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other ideas and our match was cancelled on Sunday, to be later rescheduled for this Saturday. Yay! Unfortunately Hidden Creek could not get enough players to field a team and forfeited on Friday. BOOOO!!!
So instead of playing there, I played a nice, leisurely 18 at my course. I played well, made 4 birdies and shot 75 and won the match I was playing in. Yay! It's always fun to play well and win.
Afterwards, I let Katie nap and took the kids to the Kroc Center again, where they all had a blast splashing around the indoor pool.
Katie and I celebrated the Kentucky Derby by ordering Tortilla Press. Yum. We watched the horses run, put the kids to bed early and we promptly passed out around 8:30/9.
We are nothing but party animals!
