May 10th- Mother's Day Flat (Stanley) Pretzel

May 10th, 2015 Year 4 Day 10
FREE PREZTEL #10
Today, as has been our Mother's day tradition, the FREE PRETZEL goes to Katie.  Today we got it for her, but we decided to have some fun with it.  As we headed out for our traditional Mother's Day trip to the zoo, I asked Katie if she thought it would be fun to take the FREE PRETZEL with us to the zoo and take pictures of our adventures with it.  That soon became just taking pictures of what we were doing at the zoo, as the kids took turns eating the pretzel.  Here is what we did.

Beautiful background
They have a few works of recycled art around the zoo these days.  One really nice one at the entrance.  Our day started there.

We proceeded right to the Zoo Balloon.  Katie and Tabitha had never been on it before so since it was Mother's Day we did as she pleases, duh!

Enough said.  Yes that is real
Then we headed to the small mammal house where I got this cool picture of the two-toed sloth.

We continued on and we would eat a little bit of the pretzel and see the zoo.  Here are the rest of our adventures.

At the end of this very nice and relaxing Mother's Day we ended with a picnic in our backyard.  It has been a tradition since the boys were born and I do not think it will ever change, at least I hope not.  I hope that Katie enjoyed her day, although I don't know if it got any better than the card first thing in the morning.  ha! It was a good one.  She deserves all the accolades and enjoyment that anyone should.  She is an amazing wife and even more amazing mom.  Thanks.

Happy Mother's Day too all the mothers out there.  Happy Mother's Day to my mom who is off galavanting with my dad in France.  Enjoy!

Birthday shout outs: Jackie Mulligan, 2nd grade teacher at Stockton.  Hope it was a great Mother's Day/Birthday!
Band and orchestra teacher at Johnson, Jake Weber also celebrated his birthday yesterday.  Hope he too enjoyed his special day.

Until tomorrow...
